Local MP Alec Shelbrooke made a visit to Garforth-based Ecofill on Friday.
The company, based in Garforth, uses brand-new ground technology which processes inert & contaminated clays & subsoils into structural fills which meet the national specification for highways and earthworks.
Commenting on his visit, Alec said: "I regularly meet local businesses to see how government can help create more jobs, more investment and more opportunity for residents here in Elmet & Rothwell. At Ecofill, I saw their pioneering work in the construction sector with innovative products to reduce emissions, road traffic and particulate pollution. These products were impressive, not least because I've seen first-hand, along with fellow residents, how disruptive projects such as the East Leeds Orbital Road (ELOR) has been, so ways to mitigate that disruption in future is very welcome".
