It is a huge honour to represent my home constituency in Parliament, as I have done for the past 7 years. At the upcoming general election I’ll be asking fellow residents to put their trust in me once again and allow me to continue working with the Prime Minister, Theresa May, to deliver my six-point plan for Elmet & Rothwell. This election will not only be about having a strong local voice speaking up for our area in Parliament, it will also be an opportunity for voters to back strong, stable leadership with Theresa May compared to a chaotic coalition led by Jeremy Corbyn and propped up by Nicola Sturgeon’s Scottish nationalists.
This will be my third general election in Elmet & Rothwell and I never take a single vote for granted. I will be out and about over the coming weeks listening to voters and setting out my plan for more jobs and stronger wages, first class dementia services, affordable housing in sustainable locations, safer towns and villages, outstanding schools and academies, and standing up for the rights of young people in the workplace.
